What are REActivities?

What makes REActivities unique?

Traditional material delivered in a guided-inquiry format with engagement and inclusivity at the forefront

The content provided through a REActivity is traditional relative to most lab textbooks. So what makes a REActivity unique from other lab delivery methods? REActivities deliberately uses:

  • A deliberate set of materials and reagents

  • Value-added laboratory experience-waste was considered.

  • Practice time and structured validation- each technique REActivity has structured practice time so students have freedoms to explore.

  • Students revisit techniques repeatedly- This feature serves to validate the importance of each technique covered.

  • Increased peer-to-peer engagement- Structured through partner work

  • Organized framework for comparing observations with other students nearby
